Romain Freredy – Summer-2008/2009 Internship @ SignalDemand, San Francisco
After doing a first internship in an Accounting Cabinet in London during the summer 2007-2008, I decided that an internship in the United States would be a positive thing to do in order to have a professional experience related with the double French-American education we receive at the MBA Institute.
I therefore did my 2008-2009 summer internship at SignalDemand, an IT company, based in San Francisco, offering a Price optimization and forecast software aiming to benefit and regulate the industries of perishable goods. The company allowed me to have an insight of the American culture and of its professional life. Moreover the different teams rapidly gave me responsibilities and therefore enabled me to apply my theoretical skills into practical ones.
Three months in this total immersion process provided me an incredible experience and helped me realize which specialization I was going to go toward : Finance.
As a matter of fact I am already planning to go back to the United States as indeed I will go next semester to Emory-Goizueta University where I was accepted as an exchange student and where I plan to receive prestigious academic skills as well as a new social experience. Concerning my coming internships I am planning to focus on finance positions and I will love to discover new places and cultures as our school enables it.
